The Burnaby Express team’s playoff run has forced Burnaby Minor to cancel some of the scheduled ice time at Bill Copeland Arena. The following times have been effected:
Monday, March 1: 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. and 9:00 to 10:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 2: 5:15 to 6:15 p.m., 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. and 9:45 to 11:00 p.m.
Updates will be posted on the club’s website.
Burnaby Minor is getting ready to pick its award winners for the 2009/10 season. Players, volunteers, and officials all have a chance to be recognized.
Nominations can be sent to secretary@burnabyminor.com for everything except the Presidents award and the Sportsmanlike team awards. The categories are as follows:
• Coach of the Year (Rep, House, and Female)
• Most Sportsmanlike Team (Rep, House and Female)
• Gary Boyle Memorial Award (For sportsmanship, character and hockey ability)
• Alfred Balfry Memorial Award (For team play, character, sportsmanship and hockey ability)
• Most Valuable Female Player
• Most Valuable Goaltender (Rep, Female)
• Jack Gilroy Award (Most Outstanding Atom goaltender)
• Terry MacLean Memorial Award (Most Valuable House goaltender)
• Outstanding Referee (Junior, Senior)
• Presidents Award (Named by the BMHA President for Outstanding Contribution to the Association)
• Don Boyd Memorial Award (Service to the Association) |
