BC Hockey and the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey will be hosting a Female Jamboree, March 12-14 at the Burnaby Eight Rinks in Burnaby, BC. The deadline to submit an application is March 5, 2010. Application forms are available on the BC Hockey website under the Administration – Applications tab.
The BC Hockey Jamborees are intended for female players of all skill levels who are age 5-13. The Female Jamboree is a grass roots program that creates a non-competitive atmosphere and allows participants to have fun playing hockey with girls from around the province who have similar skills. It is a celebration of participation in female hockey.
Once the registration deadline has passed, teams will be formed based on participants’ age and skill. Players from throughout the province will be mixed, allowing each team to be represented by a number of BC communities. Each team will play three (3) games and participants will receive a souvenir jersey and other novelties.
Opening Ceremony Details Where: Burnaby Eight Rinks, (Indoor Soccer Field), Burnaby BC When: Friday, March 12, 2010, 4:00 pm All players, parents and coaches are encouraged to attend the opening ceremonies. You will be directed to your specific team at registration during the opening ceremonies.
Game Details: When: Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14, 2010 Where: Burnaby Eight Rinks Complete game schedules will be posted on the BC Hockey website, www.bchockey.net, at the beginning of March. Confirmation packages, including team assignments, will be sent out via email after the March 5, 2010 deadline.
All goalies and players must bring their own equipment and socks; game jerseys will be supplied.
